Dear Argyle Music families and friends,
It is our pleasure to welcome you or welcome you back for another year of exciting music-making.
If your child is joining our program this year, welcome!
X-Block Courses:
There is an orientation for X-BLOCK singers this Friday September 8th at lunch in the choir room.
X-blocks courses that are NOT in the timetable will be starting next week on September 11th . It is NOT too late to join an ensemble, please get in touch with the appropriate teacher right away. These courses do not have assigned periods in the schedule.
The Chamber Choir will be meeting regularly again Tuesdays, Thursdays at LUNCH, and Wednesdays after school from 3:15pm-4:45pm for the ENTIRE YEAR.
**NEW THIS YEAR** Vocal Jazz Ensemble will be meeting before school from 7:30am-8:45am Tuesdays and Thursdays for the ENTIRE YEAR.
Junior Jazz (Period 10) will meet on Monday 3:10 – 5:00 as well as sectionals Tuesdays Wednesdays and or Thursdays at lunch.
Senior Jazz (Period 14) will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30am-8:45am.
Senior Concert Band (Period 12) will meet Wednesdays and Fridays from 7:30am-8:45am.
Rehearsal times are subject to change/ be added depending on scheduling adjustments and important events.
Edmonton:
If last year, your child attended the senior trip to Edmonton, please note a reimbursement for $133.33 should be credited to your method of payment made on school cash online (ex: credit-card) within the next few weeks.
Fees:
Each music course is subject to a $31.35 fee to cover the expenses for workshops, festival opportunities, clinicians, special guests, and industry experts that offer educational visits. This is automatically billed via our school’s payment system school cash online. Please feel free to get in contact with your teacher if any fees are a significant barrier.
Uniforms:
Uniform options will be explained and demonstrated in the next couple of weeks. Please stay tuned.
Handbook:
Our Argyle Music Handbook contains a lot of useful information regarding procedures and details related to our classroom culture within our music rooms. Please take some time to familiarize yourself with this great resource.

- Thurs January 18th, 2023 Semester End Junior Concert Jr. bands, Strings
