Sun Peaks (Itinerary & Other Items)
Hello Band 9 & 10 touring students & parents/guardians/caretakers,
I am very excited to be travelling with all of you this Friday, and spending a few days at the Con Brio Music Festival in Sun Peaks! We will go over the itinerary in a little more detail in class; however, please see the itinerary for your reference. It would be a good idea to download a copy of the PDF and save it somewhere where you can access it. I will also make a couple of paper copies prior departure, and we will only distribute these on the day of the tour to reduce issues around losing paper copies.
Also, please view the FAQ based on frequently asked questions we have received on previous tours, and a document regarding the Weekend Scavenger Hunt for those who plan to participate.
This week in class, we will:
- Go over the itinerary in more detail
- Inform you of your chaperone groups (your chaperone teacher will be the one you check in with upon arriving on Friday morning. They will be the main person for room checks and check ins over the course of the tour!)
- Distribute Argyle Music T-Shirts that students can bring to the festival
- Continue to polish festival repertoire
- Address any final questions or concerns
Reminder there is a tour ensemble rehearsal on Wednesday, April 26 from 12:20 – 1:05 (during P6). You have been excused from your classes – please check in with your teachers, excuse yourself at an appropriate time, and be in the band room at 12:20).
