Semester-end Concert Next Week!

Hello Argyle music students and families.

We are thrilled to invite you our Junior ensembles concert next week. Here is the information about our upcoming performance at Argyle Secondary gym on January 18th featuring the Gr8 and Gr9 concert bands, and strings ensemble. Please note students are expected to dress in CONCERT ATTIRE as outlined by the attachment of this email. Any students who are not dressed appropriately will be asked to not perform, and thus, may loose participation marks. Please contact your instructor with any concerns relating to this

– Date: Thursday January 18th

– Suggested donation $10.00-15.00

– Set up / sound checks: 3pm – all students expected to help – Strings, Concert Band 8, Concert Band 9

– Dinner break at 5:00pm – students may leave and get DRESSED.

– Students return and doors open at 6:45pm

– Performance starts at 7:30pm and will be approximately one hour.

Immediately after the performance, ALL students are to help with tear-down. Feel free to go for a walk or grab a tea! Attendance will be taken via group-photo once everything has been put away.

If you are able to volunteer at the door from 6:30pm-7:30pm please contact Mr Clements (18746@sd44.ca) asap.

The students have worked very hard and are proud to have this opportunity to demonstrate the ensemble musicianship skills they have developed this semester. As a demonstration of the pride the students take in their school and their artistry, appropriate performance attire will be worn. We are looking forward to closing this semester with sweet, sweet music!
