Junior Music Trip 2023

Dear Junior Jazz Band, Band 9 & 10 Students & Families,

Thank you for your input earlier this school year about the upcoming Junior Trip. There were more votes for the Con Brio Sun Peaks Music Festival, so I have proceeded forward with planning for the trip.

The Junior Music Trip to Con Brio Sun Peaks Music Festival will take place April 28 – 30, 2023. Cost for the tour will be $615 for each student. The price includes coach bus booking, hotel, festival registration, most meals (3 breakfast, 1 lunch and 2 dinners – students will need to purchase their own lunch en route Sun Peaks, and on the way back to Argyle). For all students interested in participating on this tour, there will be a meeting this Friday, Dec 9 at lunch in the Band Room. Students who wish participate in the Festival / School Trip and are unable to attend the meeting must inform Ms Chan immediately.  Student will receive the informed consent pacakge and all the necessary forms at this meeting.

At this time, I would like to remind students and encourage them to take advantage of the AMA Fundraising opportunities to raise funds that go towards your individual accounts. If you have participated in AMA fundraising opportunities in the past and would like to know how much money is in your account, please contact fundraising@argylemusic.ca for more information. There are also bursaries available through our AMA (Argyle Music Association) families who are in need of financial support. Please contact Ms Chan for more information.

While I recognize that band is the schedule this semester, the booking progress must start early to ensure we are able to secure the bookings. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
