Beyond the Horizon Choral Festival – March 2, 2022

It is a great pleasure to announce that a NEW choral festival is being sponsored by the North Vancouver School District and it will proceed this year at the Gordon Smith Gallery in the School Board building Feb 28 – March 3, 2022. Choirs will be performing, having a workshop with a clinician and recording a group song together with one other choir.
We are very pleased to be participating on Wednesday March 2nd in the afternoon along with a choir from Langley BC – Mountain Secondary. Scott Leithead from Edmonton AB is our brilliant clinician, for the very first, “ Beyond the Horizon Choral Festival”. Unfortunately there can be no audience due to COVID restrictions at this time, but the choirs will be video-recorded so that you will be able to see the performances at a later date.
AGENDA : Wednesday March 2nd
- 11:55am – School Bus transport from Argyle to Lonsdale & 21st
- LUNCH on your own – change into performance attire at venue
- 1:15pm Line up in the Gallery
- 1:30pm WELCOME – sing Coast Salish Anthem
- 1:40pm Mass Choir rehearse “You do not walk alone “ & RECORD
- 2:25pm Break
- 2:30pm Choir #1 Sing 2 selections – RECORDED
- 2:40pm Choir #2 Sing 2 selections – RECORDED
- 2:50pm Break
- 3:00pm Choir #1 Clinic
- 3:40pm Choir #2 Clinic
- 4:20pm Wrap Up
- 4:30pm DISMISS from the Gallery
This is a great opportunity to be able to share with another choir and work with Scott Leithead. I am so thrilled that the choir is able to have another performance opportunity and appreciate the work they are putting in to prepare for these events.
